End of Life for Windows 7 Next Year
Microsoft has been providing support for 10 years for Windows 7 since it was released on October 2019. Now that the 10 year period has ended, Microsoft announced that Windows 7 support will end on January 14, 2020.
All Microsoft technical assistance and software updates from Windows Update that help protect your PC will no longer be available for Windows 7. It's recommended to purchase a used or new PC with Windows 10, of course compatible Windows 7 computers can still be upgraded by purchasing and installing a full version of the the latest Windows 10.
